What is the Brookhaven Bolt?

The Brookhaven Bolt is a 5K Run/Walk/Stroller push through one of Brookhaven’s most beautiful neighborhoods, Ashford Park. The 2025 race will be held on Saturday, May 17th at 8:00am starting and finishing at Village Place Brookhaven on Dresden Drive, 1/4 mile South of Peachtree Road.

Starting February 17th, you can register here.

You can pick up your race packet on May 16 between 4-8pm at at Big Peach Ride + Run Brookhaven.

Parking is available at the Brookhaven MARTA station parking lot on Apple Valley Road.

Handicap parking is located in the Village Place parking lot directly behind J. Christopher’s. You may only enter at the parking lot at the entrance located directly adjacent to J. Christopher’s. Dresden Drive will be closed from Camille to Ellijay. When you reach the road closure please indicate to the police officer that you require handicap access, they will direct you from there.

The course is 3.1 miles, or 5 kilometers.

The Brookhaven Bolt race course is variable with rolling hills and a challenging finish.

Yes! We give out first-place prizes and medals to the top three male and female finishers plus top three male/female finishers in all age groups. We will have the top finishers list visibly posted by the DJ van and will allow pick up through our awards volunteer. Each runner will have access to a individual QR code that will indicate their place within the race. If you are in the top three in overall or your respective age category, please come to the finish area to retrieve your medal. Awards / Medals will only be available for pickup on race day.

All proceeds go directly to Ashford Park Elementary School.

If you cannot attend packet pick-up, you can get your shirt on Race Day.

As all money goes directly to the school, we are unable to issue any refunds.

Strollers are allowed. A separate stroller start will occur shortly after all of the runners and walkers have embarked. Pets are allowed but we require that our pet owners bring the necessary supplies to keep our race route and community clean. Runners with dogs, please make sure to respect the competitive runners and start near the back of the crowd.

There will not be restrooms along the course. Restrooms will be available at the start of the race and at the Finish Line.

There are a couple of options.

1) You can sign up as a Phantom Runner meaning you receive a t-shirt but will not run/walk the event.

2) You may also donate to the school directly through the Ashford Park School Education Foundation online.
